                                              Good Friday Crosswalk    :    April 15, 2022 - Completed

Good Friday 2023  -  April 7 (info to follow)

12 Noon starting at St Philip Neri Catholic Church and ending                                                         Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church

                                       Linthicum (Annual) Community Cross Walk

A Day for  ‘Visible’ Christian Unity and Witness"

Theme:                    "Meeting at the Cross"

Join your friends, neighbors and church families from throughout the Linthicum community and beyond in  commemorating Jesus'   walk to Calvary where He died for love of us.  This is a family and youth friendly event which includes time for prayer, meditation, and music all centered on Jesus' passion.

When:                              Good Friday  April 15, 2022  starting at 12 Noon.

Where:  Starts at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church proceeding to Linthicum Heights United Methodist.

Other Local Christian Churches participating:   Linthicum Baptist Church, St John Lutheran Church

What:  Mini services  of ‘reflection’ will be held at each church as the faithful walk in solemn  humility from church to church.  The  overall program will have some continuity from beginning to end with each Church  planning their part based on the Wisdom of the Cross.

Who:     All are invited and encouraged to attend  including those from Linthicum Area Churches which  are not located on the Cross Walk route.

Why:   To remember…our  walk is easy, Jesus’ was difficult.  He  was mocked, tortured and forced to carry the heavy cross he was later
nailed  to.

Please 'stand up for Christ’ by walking; by taking your  faith outside the walls of our Churches, by making it visible--giving it a face  in our community where the need for the hope and love of Christ is huge and all too often  lacking.

Today’s views toward Christianity should prompt us like never before to
stand  together in unity.  No day should  encourage us more to move beyond our Church walls as a public
profession.  Those unable to walk the distance may drive  between the sites.
